Steady Pacing and a Powerful Bike Leg Drive a Strong Olympic Finish Isaac Peterson turned in one of his most consistent Spudman performances to date, finishing in 2:37:00 and placing 11th in the competitive 40-44 age group. His bike leg was the standout segment, covering the course at roughly 19.2 mph and moving him from 554th overall after the swim into the top 150 by the time he racked his bikea significant surge that set up the rest of his race. Compared to his previous four Spudman finishes, this result marks his second-fastest showing, improving on both 2024 (2:34:59) and 2025 (2:43:49) trends and falling just short of his 2023 personal best of 2:30:43. His transitions were efficient, and his run pace held steady in the 8:30-9:00 min/mile range across the back half. With a strong bike foundation already in place, sharpening swim positioning could help him close the gap toward his fastest career mark.
