Bike Power Fuels a Steady Olympic Finish Jason Bodine crossed the line in 2:24:58, placing 48th overall, 47th among men, and 7th in the 35-39 division. His bike leg was the standout performance, covering the course at roughly 21.7 mph and briefly climbing as high as 15th overall gender place during the middle stretch. Transitions were crisp, with T1 and T2 combined taking under five minutes, keeping his momentum steady between disciplines. Compared to his 2023 Spudman effort (2:12:58), this year's time was slower, though still ahead of his 2022 result (2:18:44). The run settled into a consistent 8:30-9:00/mile rhythm, holding position through the final miles without major fade. With bike strength clearly established, sharpening run speed off the bike could help him close the gap toward his 2023 personal best next time out.
