Steady Pacing Highlights a Well-Balanced Olympic Debut At just 14 years old, Kason Klein completed the Olympic Triathlon at Spudman in 3:35:36, finishing 23rd among Solo Male athletes ages 1-19 and 809th out of 1,987 male finishers overall. His swim came in at 24:50, followed by a brisk 6:02 T1, showing good composure heading onto the bike. The bike leg covered roughly 24.4 miles in 1:55:17, averaging about 12.7 mph over rolling terrain, with a strong stretch between miles 15-19 where his pace quickened to near 4:20/mile splits a clear high point in his ride. A snappy 2:05 T2 kept momentum into the run, where he covered the course in 1:07:25, holding a consistent rhythm through the middle miles before closing strong over the final stretch. Overall, a well-rounded performance with clear strength on the bike and a dependable finish on the run.
