Steady Effort Across All Three Disciplines Delivers a Solid Olympic Finish Jacob Evan completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 2:41:43, finishing 193rd overall out of 1,987 and 30th in the men's 35-39 division. He exited the swim in 20:48, moved through T1 in 5:21, and turned in a strong bike leg covering the course at an average of roughly 17.9 mph in 1:21:39. A brisk T2 of 4:45 led into a 49:12 run to close out the race. Compared to his last two Spudman appearances, this result trailed both his 2025 finish of 2:27:33 (154th overall) and 2024's 2:32:44 (298th overall) came in faster. The dip suggests an opportunity to sharpen pacing across transitions and the run leg, where his splits gradually slowed from a 7:02 opening mile to an 8:34 closing mile. Revisiting run endurance work could help him recapture that 2025 form.
