Bike Strength Offsets a Tougher Day Overall TJ Moore completed the Olympic-distance course in 3:30:55, anchored by a strong bike leg. Riding at roughly 15.5 mph, he moved efficiently through the 24-mile ride, gaining significant ground and climbing into the top 300 overall at several points along the route. Transitions were crisp, with T1 and T2 both completed in under five minutes, reflecting good preparation and focus between disciplines. Compared to his 2025 Spudman finish of 3:00:09, this result came in about 30 minutes slower, with overall placement shifting from 791st to 1019th. The swim and run legs were the primary factors in the pace difference this year. Sharpening swim efficiency and building more consistent run splits could help TJ close that gap and match the strong bike performance he continues to demonstrate.
