Dominant Age-Group Debut Highlighted by a Blistering Bike Leg Bryson Krogue delivered a statement performance, finishing 49th overall out of 1,987 athletes and claiming the top spot in the 1-19 Solo Male division. His swim was strong, placing 8th overall in that segment, showing early confidence in the water. The bike leg was the standout of the day averaging roughly 20.3 mph, he was in the top 5 overall through the early bike splits and never fell out of the top 30 for the discipline, showcasing excellent power and control. The run presented a tougher test, with his pace gradually easing from 7:41 to 8:42 per mile as fatigue set in over the final miles. Even so, he closed strong, maintaining his division lead throughout. For future races, working on sustaining run pace deeper into the back half could help him convert his elite bike splits into an even faster overall finish.
