Strong Swim Leads to a Well-Balanced Finish Hillary Stone opened her race with a standout swim, clocking the 36th-fastest overall split and the 12th-fastest among all women a real highlight of her day. She carried that momentum into the bike leg, averaging just under 13.8 mph over the course, a steady and consistent effort that kept her within the top half of her age group through the midpoint of the race. Her transitions were on the longer side, which slightly softened her overall positioning, but she rebounded well on the run, maintaining a strong closing kick through the final mile. Stone finished the Sprint Triathlon in 1:58:50, placing 19th in her 40-49 division. With her swim strength as a foundation, tightening transition times could be a good focus for shaving minutes off future results.
