Steady Effort Across All Three Disciplines Marks Another Solid Season Kellen tackled the Olympic-distance course with a strong swim, covering the current-aided leg in just under 24 minutes before a swift transition into the bike leg. On the bike, he averaged roughly 12.3 mph over the nearly 24-mile stretch, showing consistent effort through the middle miles before settling into a steady rhythm for the back half of the ride. The run proved to be the most challenging portion of the day, with pacing gradually easing from the mid-12-minute range into the low 13s before a strong closing kick through the finish chute. Compared to his 2025 Spudman finish, this year's overall time was about 24 minutes slower, suggesting an opportunity to focus run training heading into future races. Still, a sub-24-minute swim and a well-executed bike leg point to real strengths to build on.
