That mark represents a solid improvement over his 2023 Spudman finish of 2:13:00, shaving nearly eight minutes off his time despite racing in a larger field (570 vs. 408 participants). Jones's bike leg stood out, covering the course at roughly 15 mph and moving him up to 109th overall by the 12-mile mark before finishing the bike segment in 13th within his division. His run leg came in at 37:50, helping him hold steady positioning through the finish. With continued strong bike splits and a run that trended faster in its closing miles, Jones showed consistent execution across all three disciplines this year.
