Strong Swim and Bike Fuel a Podium Finish in the 65-69 Age Group Paul Peterson delivered a well-rounded performance at the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon, finishing 3rd in the competitive 65-69 age division and 312th among 1,061 male finishers. His swim was a highlight, ranking 2nd in his age group, and he exited T1 in 1st place overall in his division a great transition. On the bike, Paul averaged roughly 17.5 mph, holding either 1st or 2nd in his age group at every checkpoint along the course. The run proved tougher, as his positions gradually slipped from 1st to 3rd in his division across the four run splits, suggesting some fade in the closing miles. Still, Paul's early efficiency in the swim and bike legs built enough of a cushion to secure a well-earned spot on the age-group podium.
