Steady Bike Split Powers a Consistent Sprint Finish Heather Curtis returned to Spudman for a third consecutive year, finishing in 1:42:06 nearly matching her 2025 time and continuing to demonstrate consistency across three appearances at this race. Her bike leg stood out as a strength, averaging just over 20 mph and moving her into the top 50 overall by the end of the ride, a section where she reached as high as 6th in her division at one point. Curtis's swim and run were steady, with her run pace holding in the 10:0011:00/mile range over the closing miles. She finished 9th in the 30-39 Sprint Female division and 29th among all women. Transitions were efficient, particularly T1. Looking ahead, sharpening the swim split could help her climb further into the front pack early, building on the strong bike foundation she's already established at this race.
