Strong Bike Power Fuels a Solid Olympic-Distance Finish Allison Bangerter completed the Olympic distance at Spudman in 3:40:18, highlighted by a bike leg where she averaged roughly 15 mph over the 24-plus mile ride. A standout stretch came between miles 14.4 and 19.0, where she surged to an overall position of 356th and 84th among women her strongest segment of the day by a wide margin, showing real strength on rolling terrain. Compared to her 2024 Spudman finish of 3:16:12, this years time was about 24 minutes slower, with the swim and run legs presenting the most room to close that gap. The swim came in at 30:13 and the run at 1:23:15, both slower than the pacing that produced her quicker 2024 result. Sharpening swim efficiency and run consistency could help her recapture that faster overall time while building on the bike strength she showed so clearly this year.
