Race Recap powered by Laurel Intelligence

Date: July 25, 2026 Participant: Bryan Dunford #1038 Race: 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon Event: Olympic Triathlon Weather: Hot, but otherwise a great day for a triathlon.

Strong Bike Surge Fuels Steady Olympic Finish Bryan opened his Olympic-distance day with a 23:03 swim, taking advantage of the Snake River's downstream current before a five-minute transition onto the bike course. Once rolling, he settled into a strong rhythm, hitting speeds in the 1517 mph range through several mid-course segments and peaking near 17.3 mph over back-to-back splits a clear high point of the race before finishing the 91-minute ride at an overall average near 16 mph. A quick 1:51 T2 got him moving fast into the run, where an 11:27 opening mile showed strong early turnover. Pace eased through the middle miles as fatigue crept in, dropping into the 1314 minute range, but Bryan dug in over the closing stretch, unleashing a sharp 4:13-per-mile finishing kick to cap off a 3:19:36 overall time. A powerful bike leg combined with a well-managed run made for a solid, well-rounded Olympic-distance effort.
