Steady Swim, Strong Bike Split Propel Solid Olympic Finish Austin turned in a well-rounded Olympic-distance performance, finishing 156th overall out of 1,987 and 13th in his 19-24 age division. His bike leg was a clear highlight, covering the course at an average speed of roughly 20 mph, a pace that moved him up significantly in the standings and set the tone for the rest of the race. Transitions were crisp as well, with a quick T2 that kept his momentum rolling into the run. The run leg showed some pace variation, starting strong before settling into a steadier rhythm over the final miles. Given the bike strength, there may be an opportunity to build run durability to carry that same intensity through mile 31 and beyond. Overall, this was a balanced result with a standout cycling performance as the foundation.
