Strong Swim Sets the Tone Before a Gritty Bike-Run Battle Eliza opened with a swift 21:58 swim, good for the 97th-fastest split among women, and moved through T1 in 5:45. On the bike, she covered the 24.4-mile course in 1:43:44an average of roughly 14.1 mphwith her best stretch coming through the middle miles, where she climbed into the top 250 overall before settling back by the finish. The run posed more of a challenge, with her per-mile pace drifting from an early 9:35 to near 12:00 by the final miles, a signal that pacing management late in the race could be a focus for future training. Still, she crossed the line in 3:23:36, finishing 214th among women and 23rd in her division. This marks a jump up from her 2025 Spudman Sprint finish, taking on the added distance of the Olympic race this year.
