Age-Group Champion Delivers Career-Best Overall Finish Bret Campbell turned in the strongest overall result of his Spudman history, crossing the line in 2:10:25 to place 9th overall out of 1,987 finishers a notable jump from his previous best of 16th in 2025. He also claimed his third consecutive title in the 50-54 Solo Male division, continuing a streak of dominance in his age group since 2024. The bike leg stood out as a highlight, where Bret averaged roughly 23.3 mph, helping him move into the top 20 overall by the bike dismount. He backed that up with a strong 44:25 run split, holding pace among the race's top-10 fastest runners of the day. With smooth transitions (2:12 and 1:16) and a well-paced swim, Bret's race reflected consistent execution across all three disciplines.
