A 40-Minute Leap Forward on the Same Course Bryce Egbert returned to the Spudman Olympic Triathlon and delivered a dramatic improvement, cutting nearly 40 minutes off his 2024 finish to cross the line in 3:01:14. That jump moved him from 1,400th overall to 522nd, and from 962nd to 430th in his gender field a clear sign of substantial fitness gains between races. The bike leg stood out as a major strength, with Bryce averaging roughly 18.8 mph across the course and climbing into the top 200 overall during that segment. The swim was steady and well-paced for the distance. On the run, an early mile near 11:00 gave way to a gradual slowdown through the later miles, suggesting that building more durability for the back half of the run could help him hold onto those strong overall placements even more effectively next time.
