Steady Pacing Anchored by a Strong Bike Leg Patrick opened with a 22:28 swim before settling into a bike leg that averaged just over 17 mph across the Olympic-distance course. His mid-race bike splits were especially strongone stretch saw him climb into the top 50 in his age group, a clear sign of solid power output once he found his rhythm on two wheels. Transitions were efficient, setting up a run where Patrick maintained a consistent pace in the 10:1511:30 range per mile through the 10K. He crossed the line in 3:01:52, finishing 74th in the Men's 35-39 division. The bike leg stood out as the highlight of the day, and building similar consistency in the run split could be a good focus for future Olympic-distance races.
