# Strong Bike Split Powers Steady Olympic Finish Skyler Johnson of Farmington, UT, completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 2:58:58, finishing 470th overall out of 1,987 participants and placing 12th in the 40+ Clydesdale division. Johnson's day began with a swim that moved him into the 790th position, before a strong showing on the bike course became the highlight of his race. He surged through the field on two wheels, averaging over 20 mph and climbing as high as 371st overall by the bike's enda jump of over 300 spots. The run proved tougher going, as Johnson's pace settled into the 11-12 minute range per mile, causing him to shed some positions during the closing miles. Still, his bike performance provided the foundation for a solid overall result. Looking ahead, building run fitness to complement his clear cycling strength could help Johnson convert more of his bike gains into an even stronger finish.
