Steady Pacing Fuels a Strong Olympic Finish Seth Jackson turned in a well-balanced Olympic-distance performance, highlighted by a strong start to the bike leg where he climbed as high as 199th overall early on before settling into a steady rhythm for the remainder of the ride. His bike split averaged just over 16.6 mph, a solid effort that set up a consistent transition into the run. On the run, Jackson showed impressive consistency, holding paces between 9:01 and 9:25 per mile across nearly every split a sign of strong pacing discipline over 10 kilometers. He finished 50th in the competitive 30-34 age group and 352nd among all men, capping off a well-rounded race with a smooth final transition (T2) of just over three minutes. This kind of even effort across the run suggests strong aerobic control, a great building block for future Olympic-distance races.
