A Strong Swim Overshadowed by a Lengthy Transition Brad opened his day with a standout swim, finishing among the fastest swimmers in the entire field a real strength to build on. Unfortunately, a lengthy stay in T1 erased much of that early advantage before he settled into a bike leg averaging roughly 11 mph across the rolling terrain. He then closed out the day with a run pace of about 15:14 per mile, finishing in a total time of 4:33:29. Compared to his 2025 Spudman finish of 3:17:12, this was a notably slower outing overall. The swim strength remains a clear asset, and tightening up transition time especially T1 could unlock significant gains in his next race. Sharpening bike and run consistency will also help him get closer to the pace he showed last season.
