Teenage Standout Claims Top Spot in Her Age Division Courtney Burbidge capped off her Olympic-distance debut at Spudman with a dominant showing, taking first place in the 1-19 Solo Female division and finishing 86th among 583 women overall. Her swim came in at 24:30, followed by a strong bike leg where she averaged roughly 15.1 mph over the 24.4-mile course, a pace that steadily moved her up the field standings throughout the ride. Off the bike, Courtney settled into a run pace in the 8:209:10 min/mile range for most of the 5.5-mile course, closing with a sharp final surge to seal her division win. This result marks a big step up from her 2022 sprint-distance finish, where she placed 21st in her division showing clear growth in both distance and competitiveness as she moves into the Olympic category.
