Consistent Effort Highlighted by a Swift Swim and Snappy Transition Travis Burbidge completed the Olympic Triathlon in 2:46:04, finishing 249th overall, 211th among men, and 15th in the competitive 45-49 age group. His swim was a standout, clocking 20:00 to place 159th overall and 9th in his division, showing he handled the water leg efficiently. T1 was even more impressive2:23 flat, ranking 78th overall and 4th in his age group, reflecting sharp transition execution. On the bike, Travis covered the course at roughly 17.65 mph, finishing the ride in 1:22:55. Compared to his 2022 Spudman finish (2:27:19), this year's result was about 19 minutes slower, with corresponding drops in overall and gender placement. Run splits show a gradual pace increase over the final miles, suggesting fatigue late in the race. Building endurance for a stronger finish could help him close the gap on his previous personal best.
