Steady Effort Delivers a Solid Olympic-Distance Finish Mariah completed the Olympic Triathlon in 3:58:39, cycling the bike leg at roughly 12.4 mph. Her river swim covered 0.86 miles in the opening leg, followed by a bike stretch where she noticeably picked up the pace mid-courseclimbing to 19th in her division during the fifth bike segment before settling into the pack again by the finish. The run leg carried her final 6.29 miles at just under 12:00 per mile, capping off a well-rounded effort across all three disciplines. Compared to her 2024 Spudman finish of 3:15:57, this result came in about 43 minutes slower, with her overall placement shifting from 1150th to 1306th. The dip suggests this may not have been her strongest day out on course, but the mid-bike surge shows she still has strong gears to call on. Sharpening transition times and reestablishing that bike intensity throughout the full ride could help her close the gap next time.
