A Solid All-Around Effort with a Fading Finish Hudson Dalby completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 3:10:34, highlighted by a strong swim leg that placed him 478th out of nearly 2,000 competitors exiting the Snake River. He moved efficiently through T1 in 5:18 before settling into a steady bike leg, averaging roughly 17.3 mph over the 25.36-mile course. A quick T2 of 3:45 kept his transitions tight and his overall rhythm intact heading into the run. The run told a story of fading pace as the race wore onHudson covered the middle miles (2628.86) at about 10:51/mile before slowing to 12:50/mile over the next stretch. Compared to his 2025 Spudman finish of 2:56:28, this year's time was about 14 minutes slower, suggesting an opportunity to build more durability in the closing miles of the run for next season.
