Steady Bike Power Fuels a Late-Race Climb Justin opened with a 22:37 swim, then made his move on the bike, covering 13.17 miles in 50:47 averaging roughly 15.6 mph and climbing from 220th to 153rd overall by the mid-bike mark. His strongest stretch came between miles 6 and 9, where he clipped along at nearly 17.5 mph, a clear high point in his ride. Transitions were crisp, with T1 in 3:27 and T2 in just 2:01, helping preserve the momentum built on the bike. The run started measured but tightened up nicely, closing with a final push under 9:00 pace over the last half-mile. By the finish, Justin had climbed to 128th overall and 19th in his division out of 570 participants a race defined by consistent gains in position from swim to finish, a strong sign of even, well-managed effort throughout.
