Race Recap powered by Laurel Intelligence

Date: July 25, 2026 Participant: Skyler Kimball #5159 Race: 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon Event: Olympic Triathlon Weather: Hot, but otherwise a great day for a triathlon.

Strong Cycling Legs Anchor a Steady Endurance Effort Skyler completed the Olympic-distance race in 3:28:39, placing 758th among men and 77th in the 40-44 division. His bike leg stood out, averaging roughly 15.2 mph over the course, and included a stretch where he climbed into the top 200 overall before settling into a more moderate rhythm. Compared to his 2024 Spudman finish of 3:01:12, this year's result was about 27 minutes slower, pointing to some fatigue that built later in the race. Transitions were crisp, with T1 in 6:23 and T2 in 6:16, keeping momentum steady between legs. The run held a fairly consistent pace near 12 minutes per mile, though a slight dip through the middle miles suggests building more run endurance could help close out future races stronger. Overall, a well-paced bike leg combined with steady transitions made for a solid, complete performance.
