A Strong Bike Effort Fades Late in the Run Brendon Moser completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 3:04:44, finishing 598th overall and 43rd in the 25-29 age group. His bike leg was the highlight, covering the course at roughly 17.6 mph and moving him up to 14th in his division by mile 24 his best position of the day. The swim (22:02) and transitions were steady, keeping him in the middle of the field heading onto the bike. The run told a different story. After holding a strong overall pace through the bike, Brendon slipped to 43rd in his division by the finish, with mile splits drifting past 11:30-12:00/mile in the closing miles. Compared to his 2025 Spudman finish of 2:38:02, this result marks a notable step back, closer to his 2022 time of 3:04:32. Building run durability off the bike could help him recapture that 2025 form.
