Fast Swim Sets the Tone, Late Run Miles Tell the Story Jason opened his race with a standout swim, clocking 18:55 to rank 4th in his 45-49 division and top-70 overallan excellent start that put him well ahead of the field early. He carried that momentum onto the bike, averaging close to 19.4 mph and holding top-10 division splits through the midpoint of the course, a strong showing of sustained power. The run told a different story. Jason started strong with a 9:14 opening mile, but his pace steadily slipped, dropping to an 11:42 mile by the final stretch. That fade cost him ground in the standings, sliding to 14th in his division by the finish. His 2:44:40 overall time was also slower than his previous two Spudman finishes2:32:31 in 2023 and 2:34:45 in 2025suggesting run endurance could be a focus area heading into his next race.
