Strong Bike Split Fuels Solid Olympic-Distance Finish Tyler Clark of Burley, ID, completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 2:38:56, finishing 149th overall out of 1,987 athletes and 23rd in the competitive 35-39 Male division. Clark's standout performance came on the bike, where he averaged roughly 19.15 mph over 24.39 miles, climbing from 432nd overall after the swim to 194th by the end of the ride a jump of over 200 spots that highlighted his cycling strength. Clark carried that momentum into a steady run, holding his position in the field's upper-middle tier through the final miles. With quick transitions (T1 in 2:48, T2 in just 1:45), he minimized time loss between disciplines. Looking ahead, tightening the swim split could help him carry more overall placement gains into the bike and run legs.
