Bike Strength Propels Steady Sprint Performance Steven Satchwell turned in a well-rounded sprint triathlon, anchored by a standout bike leg. He completed the 13.17-mile ride in 46:15, averaging roughly 17.1 mph, which vaulted him from 152nd to 84th among male finishers by the bikes end the biggest positional jump of his race. His transitions were efficient too, with T1 in 5:21 and T2 in a brisk 3:34, both showing crisp execution between legs. The swim (22:12) and run (45:09) rounded out a balanced effort, helping him finish 9th in the Male 50-59 Sprint division and 137th among 570 male finishers overall. While his run pace eased slightly in the closing miles, the overall consistency across all three disciplines reflects a solid, well-managed race. Building a bit more closing speed on the run could help him convert his strong bike gains into an even higher overall finish next time.
