Best Overall Finish Yet Despite a Slower Clock Doug Wixom turned in his strongest placement in three years at Spudman, finishing 404th overall and 337th in the men's field both improvements over his 2024 (650th/535th) and 2025 (593rd/483rd) results even though his overall time of 2:55:33 was his slowest of the three appearances. The bike leg was a clear highlight, averaging roughly 18.4 mph, with a standout mid-course push during the B5 segment where he clocked a 2:59/mile pace, good for 82nd among men at that point. The run told a different story, starting strong with a 9:17 opening mile pace before gradually slipping to an 11:09 pace by the final stretch. Tightening up that back-half fade could be the difference between a good day and a great one moving forward. Transitions were efficient throughout, with T1 and T2 combined under six minutes, keeping momentum steady between disciplines.
