Fast Start, Steady Finish in Olympic Debut Kobe Cooper opened his Spudman Olympic-distance race with a strong swim, exiting the water in 362nd overall and 287th among menan early highlight that showed real strength in the water. However, a lengthy T1 chewed up valuable time and momentum, dropping him back into the 1,300s before the bike leg began. On the bike, Cooper settled into a solid rhythm, averaging roughly 13.4 mph over the course and briefly climbing as high as 433rd overall during a strong middle stretch. The run proved to be a battle of attrition, with Cooper holding a steady pace near 16:26 per mile through the final miles. He crossed the finish line in 4:13:57, capping off a race defined by a strong swim and a gritty, consistent effort through the bike and run.
