A Resilient Comeback in a New Age Division Peter Morgan closed out the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 2:58:57, good for 4th in the competitive 65-69 age group and a solid step up from his 2022 finish of 3:10:27. His bike leg was the highlight of the day, averaging just over 19 mph and moving him from 930th to 361st overall by the end of the ride a testament to strong power on the courses rolling terrain. The swim and run legs showed room to build on for next season, as his overall time settled behind his breakout 2025 performance of 2:42:05. Still, finishing inside the top 400 overall out of nearly 2,000 finishers, and holding a top-5 age group placement, reflects consistent fitness as he transitions into a new competitive bracket. A stronger transition pace and a bit more speed off the bike could help him close the gap to his personal best.
