Powerful Bike Leg Drives a Well-Balanced Olympic Finish Philippe posted a strong all-around performance, highlighted by a bike split that averaged nearly 17.8 mph, moving him up from 836th to 517th overall by the time he hit T2. His swim was steady, and his transitions were crisp, with T1 and T2 combining for just over seven minutes. The run proved to be his strongest relative segment, as he climbed from 532nd to 291st overall by the finish, settling into a consistent low-9:00 per mile rhythm over the final miles. He finished 244th out of 1,987 overall and 18th in his 25-29 age group, capping off a well-executed race with a strong closing kick in the final quarter mile. Building a bit more bike-to-run transition speed could help him close even more places in future Olympic-distance events.
