Bike Leg Fuels a Strong Overall Push Clara Gylling turned in a well-rounded sprint triathlon performance, highlighted by a standout bike leg. Averaging roughly 15 mph on the bike, she climbed from 195th place overall after the swim to 56th by the midpoint of the ride a jump of nearly 140 spots that reflects excellent cycling strength and control on the courses rolling terrain. The swim and transitions were steady, keeping her within striking distance of the front of her age group early on. The run proved a bit more challenging, with her pace settling into the 11-minute mile range, which cost her some positions late in the race. Finishing 56th among 285 women and 15th in her competitive 20-29 division out of 570 total participants, Claras day showed a clear strength on two wheels a great foundation to build run speed around for future races.
