Bike Strength Anchors a Well-Paced Olympic Finish Briggs Huxford crossed the line in 3:15:21, marking his third consecutive Spudman finish and a clear step forward from his 2024 result of 3:36:15, though just off his personal best of 3:12:29 set in 2025. He opened with a steady swim, followed by a crisp 3:15 T1 that ranked among the race's quicker transitions. The bike leg was the standout, covering roughly 24.4 miles in 1:32:24 for an average near 15.8 mph. Within that ride, a 5.6-mile stretch clocked at an impressive 3:15/mile pace, propelling him into the top 155 overall at that point in the race. A smooth 3:50 T2 led into a 1:12:43 run, where pacing dipped in the closing milesan area that, if tightened, could help him challenge his 2025 mark next time out.
