Powerful Bike Leg Propels Runner-Up-Adjacent Age Group Finish Christy Engar turned in a strong showing at the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon, finishing 3rd in the Female 50-54 division and 41st among all women. Her bike leg stood out most, averaging roughly 17.9 mph over the course, a segment where she steadily climbed the field positions, moving from 6th to 4th in her age group by the dismount line. Compared to her 2024 Spudman result, Christy's overall time was a bit slower this year, but she improved her age-group placement significantly, jumping from 7th to 3rd. The run leg showed consistent pacing throughout, holding steady in the 9:159:30 per mile range over the final miles. With a swim exit inside the top 100 women and a bike leg that continued building positions, Christy's race showed strong execution across each transition.
