Steady Climb Through the Field Fuels a Strong Sprint Finish Logan Deroin turned in a well-rounded performance at the 2026 Spudman Sprint Triathlon, finishing in 1:40:56 and climbing steadily through the field with every leg of the race. He exited the water in 179th overall, then used a strong bike legaveraging roughly 15.5 mph over the 12.45-mile rideto move up to 115th by T2. That momentum carried into the run, where he continued picking off competitors to finish 76th overall out of 570 athletes, 52nd among men, and 12th in the competitive 30-39 age group. The run itself told a story of grit: after opening near an 8:44 per-mile pace, Logan dipped slightly through the middle miles before closing hard with a final surge at a 3:22 pace over the last tenth of a mile. That late kick, combined with his consistent bike splits, points to solid aerobic fitness and a good sense of pacing under fatiguetwo strengths worth building on for future races.
