Bike Strength Fuels Steady Olympic-Distance Finish Brayden completed the Olympic-distance course in 3:26:47, anchored by a standout bike leg. Covering the bike segment at roughly 16.9 mph, he made up significant ground, climbing from 984th to 757th in his gender field by the time he dismounted. The swim, by contrast, was his most challenging segment relative to the field, and could be an area to target in training. Both transitions were efficient and identical at 3:44 each, showing consistency in his transition work. The run rounded out the day at a 12:20/mile pace, holding position through the back half of the course without significant fade. He finished 752nd out of 1,987 overall participants and 73rd in the men's 25-29 division. With the bike leg as a clear strength, continued focus on swim speed could yield the next gains in overall finishing time.
