Bike Strength Drives a Major Mid-Race Charge After a steady swim through the Snake River current, Mylie turned in a standout bike leg, averaging over 16.5 mph across the Olympic-distance course. That effort fueled a dramatic climb through the field she moved from 1,384th overall after the swim to as high as 686th by the final bike split, passing hundreds of competitors in the process. Her bike splits consistently ranked among the top of her age group, peaking at 15th in her division during one stretch. The run proved more of a challenge, with pace gradually easing from just over 12 minutes per mile early on to around 14 by the final miles. This cost some of the ground gained on the bike, as she settled into 988th overall by the finish. Still, she closed strong, finishing 28th in the womens 25-29 division and 234th among all female finishers.
