A Mid-Race Bike Surge Fuels a Strong Olympic Finish Geoff completed the Olympic distance in 3:16:30, with a standout stretch on the bike proving the highlight of his day. Between roughly miles 9 and 19, he sustained speeds over 20 mph, briefly climbing all the way up to 208th overall his best placement of the race before settling into the second half of the ride. The run told a more uneven story, opening at a 12:59/mile pace before quickening to 11:15, then easing back to the 13-minute range through the middle miles. Geoff found another gear late, closing out the final stretch with a strong kick. He crossed the line 644th among men and 55th in the non-competitive division, delivering a well-rounded Olympic-distance performance anchored by that impressive bike surge.
