From Midpack to Podium Contender: A Breakthrough Performance Jake Westlund turned in a dramatically improved race, finishing 11th overall and 3rd in the Men's 30-39 Sprint division out of 570 participants. This marks a significant leap from his previous appearance at this race, where he placed 251st overall shaving over 31 minutes off his total time and climbing 240 spots in the overall standings. The bike leg was a clear highlight, with Jake averaging roughly 18.6 mph and consistently ranking inside the top 10-16 for split placements throughout the course. His swim was efficient and set up a smooth transition into the bike. On the run, he showed strong closing speed, briefly climbing to 2nd place overall during one stretch before settling into a steady pace to the finish. Transitions were crisp, with T2 executed in just 1:36, reflecting sharp race-day execution across all three disciplines.
