Strong Bike Split Powers Impressive Olympic-Distance Finish Kobe Abe turned in a well-rounded Olympic-distance performance, highlighted by a bike leg averaging roughly 18.4 mph a pace that steadily moved him up the field, jumping from around 535th to 278th overall by the end of the ride. His swim was solid and set up a clean transition into the bike, where he built significant momentum. Off the bike, Kobe carried that strength into the run, holding a pace in the low-7:00s per mile for much of the second half and closing with a strong final mile. He finished 127th overall out of 1,987 participants and 3rd in the Non-Competitive division, capping off a race where his bike and run splits worked well together to drive a steady climb through the field.
