A Solid Finish Highlighted by a Strong Swim Leg Jacob completed the Olympic distance with a 29:14 swim, a highlight of his day and a pace that kept him competitive early in the field. His bike leg covered roughly 24.4 miles in 1:46:12, averaging about 13.8 mph, before transitioning into a 1:25:47 run to close out the race in 3:49:53. Compared to his 2023 Spudman performance, where he finished in 3:11:56, this year's overall time was notably slower, with drops in both bike and run pace contributing to the difference. Transitions were efficient, with a 6:09 T1 and a quick 2:33 T2. Moving forward, focusing on bike power and run endurance could help Jacob close the gap toward his previous personal best and improve his overall placement in future races.
