Strong Run Surge Powers Late-Race Climb Sidney Drury turned in a well-rounded sprint-distance performance, highlighted by a standout run leg where she climbed from 131st place overall off the bike to 49th by the finish a jump reflected in her run splits, where she briefly sat as high as 18th overall and 2nd in her division during the third run segment. Her bike leg averaged right around 15.9 mph, a steady, controlled effort that set her up well for the run to follow. The swim (18:35) and transitions were efficient, and her run pace settled in the mid-7:30s per mile, showing solid consistency across the 3.19-mile run course. Finishing 13th among 570 women and 6th in her 30-39 division, Sidney's back-half strength stands out as the story of this race an encouraging sign that continued focus on bike power could translate that late run speed into even faster overall results.
