Strong Bike Surge Fuels Solid Finish Despite Late Run Fade Jared opened with a steady 22:15 swim and a crisp 3:34 T1 before settling into the bike, where he covered the 24-mile course in 1:22:39 (~17.7 mph). A standout 5.6-mile stretch flew by in just 17:27 a blistering 3:07/mile pace that briefly moved him into 6th in his division. That surge set up a 1:11:58 run split, though his pacing cooled as the miles piled up, sliding from a brisk 9:34 opening mile to a 13:08 pace near mile 31 before rallying for a strong final kick. Jared crossed the line in 3:02:07, good for 544th overall out of 1,987 and 66th in the mens 30-34 division. Compared to his 2:35:49 (2024) and 2:39:54 (2025) Spudman finishes, this years time trailed by roughly 25 minutes tightening up that run fade could help him reclaim his earlier pace.
