A Grind Through Every Leg, Finished Strong Riley Wangemann completed the 2026 Spudman Olympic Triathlon in 4:08:49, a notable step back from his 3:02:04 finish in 2024. The swim covered in 27:55 set the tone for the day, followed by a lengthy 9:57 in T1 that stands out as an area to tighten up before the next race. T2 was much crisper at 5:17, showing he can move quickly when needed. On the bike, Riley covered roughly 24.4 miles in 1:41:10, averaging close to 14.5 mph a solid, steady effort with consistent mile splits throughout. The run proved to be the toughest stretch, with 6.2 miles completed in 1:44:34, showing a marked slowdown compared to his bike pace. Sharpening run endurance and shaving time off transitions could be the biggest levers for a faster overall performance next time out.
