Strong Bike Split Anchors a Solid Olympic-Distance Finish Jared McKee crossed the line in 2:57:02, finishing 431st overall out of 1,987 and 360th among men. The bike leg was clearly his strongest segment, averaging roughly 18.7 mph and moving him into the top 200 overall at several timing points along the course, including a climb into 171st place mid-ride. This built a solid cushion heading into the run. Compared to his last three Spudman appearances (20232025), where he consistently finished between 2:39 and 2:43, this years time was noticeably slower, closer to his 2022 result of 2:56:23. The run split showed some fade over the final miles, with pace slowing in the back half. Sharpening run fitness could help him reclaim the sub-2:45 finishes hes posted in recent years, especially given the strength he continues to show on the bike.
