Consistent Effort Delivers a Top-Five Age-Group Finish Blake Wright turned in a strong performance at the 2026 Spudman Sprint Triathlon, finishing 5th in the Men's 70+ division and 167th among 570 male finishers overall. His swim was a definite highlight, clocking in at 3rd fastest in his age group and showing he can hold his own in the water against much younger competition. On the bike, Blake averaged just over 16 mph across the course, a solid, steady effort that kept him in touch with the field. His run rounded out the day at a 15:23 min/mile pace, showing good endurance to close out the race. Transitions were a bit lengthy, especially T2, and tightening those could shave meaningful time off his overall result in future races. Overall, a well-rounded effort with real strength in the water.
